Fallen by Linda Castillo

Image
This book had me hooked from page one and I couldn't stop, but I had to cause you know sleep lol. I have never really enjoyed Amish books but this one change my mind. I might have to try more and I will definitely be reading more from Linda Castillo, plus the rest of this series. As this being the 13th book in the series, I wasn't confused and still understood what was going on. To me it read more like a standalone and could read without reading the rest. I want to think Linda Castillo and Minotaur Books for letting read and review this book. I want also think Tandem Collective Global for hosting a readalong over on Instgram, I had so much fun.

Tropical Deception by David Myles Robinson Series:  A Pancho McMartin Legal Thriller #4   Rating:★★★   Recommend: Yes Goodreads Synopsis With some $200 million sunk into a real estate development on Kauai, the investment partners have a lot to lose if attorney Peter Roosevelt succeeds in stopping the project for the sake of preserving Hawaii's environment. When Roosevelt is found dead in his home, a suspect is quickly arrested and becomes the latest, and possibly toughest, challenge for Honolulu's top criminal defense attorney, Pancho McMartin. There is an abundance of suspicious characters for Pancho to focus on, but everyone but his client has an alibi. The suspense is high as Pancho is forced to go to trial without a good defense. He takes risks which don't pay off. His client is angry and threatens malpractice. Pancho is in an untenable position as time is running out. Review This book wasn’t for me but that isn’t because the book was bad. I loved the character...

A Golden Fury by Samantha Cohoe

“Cohoe transmutes the legend of the Philosopher's Stone into a dark, intoxicating tale of ambition, obsession, and sacrifice. Prepare for a magic that will consume you.” - Rosamund Hodge, New York Times bestselling author of Cruel Beauty and Bright Smoke, Cold Fire I want to start off by saying I am in love with this cover, it is what drew me to the book. Then I read the synopsis and it hooked me even more. Once I started reading I could hardly put it down but I do have to say that the main character Thea Hope was a little too arrogant for me. She did grow on me through out the book along with the others. I was fine with the pacing for the book and it kept me entertained, and it was easy to keep up with what was going on. Towards the end it started to feel a little rushed but it didn't take away much from the story. I just wish there was more, That is why I only gave it three stars, I will be picking up more from this author. I will also be recommending this to my friends cau...
